Greetings, everyone! My name is Madi Reynolds. It’s wonderful being here with you today. Thank you to my friend, Joy, for allowing me to visit with you. Do you like Christmas? What are your favorite things about the season?
Christmas is my favorite time of year. I know right now it’s fall, and Thanksgiving is just around the corner, but I can’t help but look forward to celebrating Jesus’ birth. I have fond memories of putting up a tree, adding lights, and seeing those “star player” ornaments we made as a kid. Those ornaments our parents haven’t been able to throw away no matter how much time has passed.
Or celebrating a Christmas wedding of those we love.
And maybe, just maybe, the man I love will come around and share his heart. I know it wasn’t smart falling for my partner, but the way he’s protected me as my bodyguard while we were undercover, my heart fell quickly.
I’m reminded of Jeremiah 29:11, that God has a plan, and that the Lord’s plans are to prosper and not to harm. I believe this with all that’s within me, even though my line of work—trying to infiltrate a sex-trafficking ring in Atlanta—has many dangers. But it’s His plan, His hope, and a future that I cling to.
Freedom for those enslaved. Freedom for Brice’s PTSD. Freedom to live the life God has in store. That’s what Christmas means to me. Freedom, given to us through the birth of a child – Jesus.
I love Christmas!
